ASIN is the Agri-Food Cluster of Asturias, Spain, founded as a non-profit association by the regional meat industry. It provides high-value services to national agri-food businesses, including technological consultancy, accredited laboratory testing, training, and food innovation.

Based in Noreña, Asturias, it promotes innovation and sustainability through its R&D&I activities. Its Biotechnology, Product Development, and Digitalisation departments improve production systems and food safety. As SALINA coordinator, ASINCAR will lead project coordination while contributing to the development of innovative products from macroalgae fractions.

Kerteminde Seafarm is a Danish regenerative ocean farming company practicing organic-certified IMTA to cultivate shellfish and seaweed side by side. This low-input approach boosts biodiversity while advancing European research in blue bioeconomy innovations.

Kerteminde Seafarm is a Danish regenerative ocean farming company practicing Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) in Kerteminde Bay. By cultivating blue mussels, oysters, sugar kelp and other macroalgae side by side, the farm lets the species support one another. This low-input, organic-certified approach produces food and biomass while counteracting eutrophication and improving biodiversity and coastal waters. The company also takes part in national and EU research and innovation projects, advancing the science and commercial potential of regenerative ocean farming.

This is enabled through our state-of-the-art laboratories, equipment, and experienced personnel. TARI is a Faroese SME operating hatchery and large-scale seaweed and shellfish aquaculture operations. It plays a pioneering role in scaling native species in marine environments.

TARI

TARI is a macroalgal production and processing company located in the Faroe Islands. The company has a hatchery facility and a seafarm, and is currently growing the brown algal species Alaria esculenta and Saccharina latissima and the red algal species Palmaria palmata. TARI produces high-quality seaweed biomass and processes it into food-, ingredient- and nutraceutical products. Sustainable cultivation methods are the foundation in building a sustainable macroalgal industry and TARI believes that adding species diversity to the production systems is key.
